Your internal resistance

Hey!

Sun is still shining here in the UK...it's now a full 3 weeks, so life is good! I hope it is with you too?

Ok, let's get to the post.

Every day, without even knowing, you have conflicting forces operating within your mind. On one hand, you have your good intentions of goals, plans and activities that you manage each day. On the other hand, you have your comfort zone or internal resistances... (you know the voice inside that says "what if I fail?"), chipping away at you constantly.

The thing is, I firmly believe that you start every day fresh with great intentions. Then, 'life' just get's in the way...

...it's a battle zone, casualties on both sides, much like the Somme in 1916... pure carnage.

And that is why you are the same place as you were in January, but 7 months older.

Today, I am going to show you how to break free from the stalemate and allow yourself to get ahead in no-man's land. However, it means suspending arms against your self and more importantly, letting your 'story' go. Excuses about your upbringing or your lack of education etc, etc have just got to go.... today!

Dan Kennedy once said, "what separates the leaders from the strugglers is often confidence and follow through, both of which can be derailed by your internal resistance".

So, let me show you an exercise to do:

1) Ask yourself this question...

Where would you like to be, but aren't?

2) Write it down. Be completely honest with yourself... no point otherwise.

3) List the reasons why you are not there.

4) Next, identify the changes you need to make...

5) Take MASSIVE ACTION!

You've got to take stock. If you want $1m in your bank account, then why are working in congruence with it?

At this point, I always say, you have 2 choices:

  1. Forget the $1m and accept your current life. If you do what you did (you know the saying)...
  2. Work the above in depth and persist. Say yes to success and get the life you truly want. On that point, Epictetus said:

“Now is the time to get serious about living your ideals. Once you have determined the spiritual principles you wish to exemplify, abide by these rules as if they were laws, as if it were indeed sinful to compromise them. Don’t mind if others don’t share your convictions. How long can you afford to put off who you really want to be? Your nobler self cannot wait any longer. Put your principles into practice – now. Stop the excuses and the procrastination. This is your life! You aren’t a child anymore. The sooner you set yourself to your spiritual program, the happier you will be. The longer you wait, the more you’ll be vulnerable to mediocrity and feel filled with shame and regret, because you know you are capable of better. From this instant on, vow to stop disappointing yourself. Separate yourself from the mob. Decide to be extraordinary and do what you need to do – now.”

Are you up for the challenge...? I know I am! I have a 'post it note' on my mac screen... Hallelujah! You can have the life you want too... why not join me?

Llwyddiant!

Joe
